JUDGEMENT OF SOLOMON

1 KINGS 3, 16–28

Solomon was the son of the King David and his wife Bathsheba, a wise ruler of the Kingdom of Israel who built the Temple of Jerusalem. Biblical story about the wisdom of King Solomon and about a mother, who was ready to renounce her child to save his life, became very popular in folklore and in literature. At least 22 works of literature and art are dedicated to this story.
