An engraver and a publisher in Antwerp
Father of Adrian II Huybrechts, with whom he often worked together. Since 1573, he was a member of the Guild of St. Luke. His first original engravings are dated 1574. He is especially known as the copyist of Martin Schongauer (copies of the Passion cycle, 1584), of Albrecht Dürer (Nativity engraving). In 1585, he made a copy of Dürer’s woodcut The Mass of Saint Gregory.
