Comments:
the impression is brownish, clear, but the plate has many scratches, especially on top (М. 42, g)
Other impressions in the Museum collections:
1) Inv. Г-2093, on paper with a watermark: a great city gate (М. 260, 1511), permitting to date the impression to the second half of the 16th century. The plate is strongly worn, with many scratches, confirming that this impression is later than Inv. Г-8996;
2) Inv. Г-2091, on paper without watermarks, the impression is grey, less contrasted than the previous one, was made in the second half of the 16th century
